Raveendran Master was a popular Malayalam and south Indian music composer. He had a distinctive style of his own and was always refereed to as the aristocratic music director. He composed for more than 150 films primarily in Malayalam, and Tamil. He died in Chennai following a cardiac arrest.

His last composition was ‘Kalabham’. It was released in ’2006′ soon after his death. He was also the recipient of a National Award for Bharatham.He also received a lot of state awards.
